Ingredients

  • Milk Chocolate– Milk chocolate forms the rich, velvety base of this Christmas tiffin. It melts smoothly and helps bind all the biscuit pieces together, creating that classic biscuit slice texture. For the best flavour, use a good-quality milk chocolate bar. This is what makes the tiffin ultra-chocolatey, creamy, and perfect for festive baking.
  • Digestive Biscuits– Digestives add the essential crunch and structure to your no-bake tiffin. Their buttery, slightly sweet flavour pairs beautifully with the chocolate and KitKats. They break down easily, helping to create that classic tiffin crumbly-yet-chewy texture loved in British traybake recipes.
  • Unsalted Butter– Butter gives the tiffin its richness and helps combine the chocolate and syrup into a smooth mixture. It also adds flavour and contributes to the fudge-like consistency once chilled. Using unsalted butter ensures you control the saltiness in your Christmas dessert.
  • Golden Syrup– Golden syrup adds sweetness and a gorgeous caramel depth to the tiffin. It also helps create that sticky, glossy chocolate base that sets beautifully in the fridge. This ingredient is key for achieving the perfect no-bake texture and helps the mixture hold together firmly.
  • KitKats– Chopped KitKats bring extra crunch, chocolate flavour, and festive fun to your tiffin. Their crispy wafer texture contrasts perfectly with the softer biscuit base, making every bite exciting. Using festive KitKats or KitKat Santas on top also adds the perfect Christmas touch to your traybake.

Tips for the Best KitKat Tiffin

  • Use fresh, crunchy biscuits for the perfect texture.
  • Don’t rush the chilling time, it needs at least 3 hours.
  • Add white chocolate drizzle for extra decoration.
  • Replace KitKats with Maltesers, Lindt or mini candy canes!
  • Store in the fridge so the chocolate stays firm.
